Free Wedding Speeches? Should I?

Free Wedding Speeches? Should I?

So you have been asked by your best buddy or perhaps your close girlfriend to give a wedding speech. This can be kind of scary for most people. Public speaking ranks right up there with many top fears. Most people dread having to get up in front of a big crowd and give a speech. This has lead to tons of people scouring the Internet for nice free pre-made speeches. It is really a great thought because it would be an easy way out. You just type in something like free wedding speeches and viola you have your work done. Now just print it and go back to watching television. Well, you can do this but you will most likely end up looking like a big jerk. Using a free wedding speech is like saying I did not care enough about you to even think up anything myself. However, by following the advice in this article you can easily create a wedding speech with very little effort. The best part is your speech will be original and not sound like someone else.

Go ShortToday our attention span is next to nil, it comes from watching to much television. However that is the truth and therefore a long wedding speech is just going to end up boring everyone. You really want to leave people wanting more. So when you plan your speech don’t go for a big 10-minute lecture or anything. You want the quick fun get in and get out type of speech. You should realistically keep it well under 5 minutes. If that sounds like too little stand in front of the mirror and talk to yourself for 5 minutes. You will most likely be surprised how long this really is. Unless of course you really love yourself then 5 minutes might not feel like long enough but trust me for the rest of us that was enough. So go short and leave them wanting more.

No AdviceThat’s right don’t give any old wedding advice. People often try to give some worth while nugget of wisdom that will carry the newly wed couple through the difficult years. However, no one is really listening and who are you to give wedding advice anyway? Leave that to the professionals like a counselor or a priest. The young couple at this point is so in love and at the height of the marriage they will not even want to listen to any advice about the bad times.

Introduce YourselfOne thing that many people forget to do is introduce themselves. They are nervous and set on getting the whole speech done with and just jump right in to the speech. However, it is likely that many of the attendees will not know who you are. So start by introducing yourself.

MemoriesThe best wedding speeches are usually formed around memories. At weddings most of the guests are feeling nostalgic and therefore love to hear those special memories about the newly wed couple. If you can think of any funny occasions or events this can often bring a much-needed laugh and instantly win over the guests. Then throwing in some memory about when or how the couple met or how the first time you met the couple you knew they were right for each other.

By following the advice above and giving a speech that is from the heart you are sure to give a memorable speech. Make sure you annunciate clearly and speak slowly so that everyone can hear you and just be yourself. The more relaxed you look the better your speech will be perceived. You can be a nervous wreck inside as long as you appear calm and collected.

Writing The Perfect Wedding Speech – Hints And Tips

Writing The Perfect Wedding Speech – Hints And Tips

So you’ve been asked to give a speech at a wedding? Or maybe you just want to make a speech on your own accord, it doesn’t matter. It also doesn’t matter if you are the bride, the groom, the best man, the father of the bride or the maid of honor, it’s still a scary ordeal for any one to have to go through. But with the tips I give you in this article, I assure you, you will feel more comfortable not only writing the perfect wedding speech but delivering the perfect wedding speech, so let’s get started shall we.

The best way to get a wedding speech started is to thank any one and every one important to the bride and groom and every one who helped set up the wedding. Depending on what your role is, you can spend quite a bit of time thanking every one, including the bride and grooms parents for making the wedding possible.

Telling a funny story about either the bride or groom is also a good way to get the speech going smoothly. Make sure the funny story you tell though isn’t vulgar or terribly rude and don’t go spilling secrets that might hurt the marriage before it even has a chance to get started. This is not the time to air dirty laundry to every one in the family.

Giving the bride and groom some advice that you’ve learned over the years about relationships, marriage or just general good advice is a great way to end your speech. If you’ve learnt something over the many years you’ve lived and you feel like it would benefit the bride and or groom, then by all means, impart your wisdom to them and the entire wedding reception.

If after reading these tips you still are not sure you can write the perfect wedding speech, I give you permission to steal some one else speech and reword it into your own. You will find thousands of websites that offer free wedding speech templates online (including my website) and there are countless books you can buy online and download online right now that give you really good quality speeches and toasts that you can steal and use as your own.

But the main thing to remember is relax! It’s all a bit of fun in the end and as long as you don’t insult any one or say anything vulgar and rude, every one will think your speech was great.

Wedding Speech Tips For Your Sister’s Matrimony

Wedding Speech Tips For Your Sister’s Matrimony

I wrote a great and inspirational wedding speech in my sister’s wedding. You too can help inspire and light up a wedding if you make a great speech similar to mine. Just read on and I can help you by sharing some of the knowledge I learned from some speech writing pages on the Internet.

I was also anxious and distressed at the upcoming wedding of my sister because I did not have a proper wedding speech or toast at all. I was so stressed out that I was not sleeping properly weeks before the wedding. I thought that I cannot come up with a good wedding speech. Good thing I searched around the web and found some guide that I also want to share with you all in this article.

The first thing I did was to calm down. After calming down a lot I was able to think clearly and searched the web for some answers. I will share with you some of the tips I found.

1. Write your speech with a single theme in mind. The one theme or one topic policy is definitely for coherence’s sake. This does not mean that you can only tell one anecdote or story. What this means is that you can tell a bunch of stories with one over-arching theme governing them.

2. After you figure out your theme then be sure to determine what point it is that you want to impart to your audience or listeners, especially the newly weds. You can be inspirational and funny at the same time.

3. Be imaginative, use colorful words, metaphors, and even strong imagery to help your audience visualize what you are talking about. For example, instead of stating things, show them. Show, don’t tell is the classic advice given to creative writers.

4. Rehearse your speech in front of someone else. This will allow the person to critique your speech and style of delivery fast and efficient. This is helpful if you don’t have enough time. Working with another person is really the best. Hey, the adage is correct, two brains are indeed better than one.

5. If you don’t have anyone to rehearse with then try and record yourself delivering the speech. Believe me, hearing yourself in recording will help you straighten out your delivery and even the voice and style of your writing.

I followed the following steps and I wrote a great wedding speech at my sister’s matrimony. It was a very classy and inspirational speech that did not detract from the newlyweds. I’m kind of proud of myself for putting the effort and thought into the speech. I was just glad that my wedding speech made my sister and her husband very happy. Groom’s Wedding Speeches That Are Powerful and Inspirational

Groom’s Wedding Speeches That Are Powerful and Inspirational

I wrote my groom’s wedding speech, and it was a good speech because I followed some simple tips and guide. I never thought that I will be able to write a good speech, good thing I found some guides on how to write a good speech in the web.

Before I found the speech writing guides, I was so distressed over my groom’s wedding speech that I can’t even sleep properly at night. I was stressed and afraid that I won’t be able to deliver a good speech. I do not want to be a let down in my own wedding.

I tried to write a speech draft after draft, but I can’t put down the right words or the write tone. I was lost and I did not know what to do. Good thing I found the following tips online. I want to help you with your speech so I tried to compile the most basic guide I could find.

1. Write your speech with only one over-arching theme. Just write about one topic or issue and stick with it.

2. When you have decided on a theme, ask yourself what your point would be. Think about what moral or inspirational thought you want your speech to impart to your audience.

3. Show, don’t tell. Use metaphors, imagery, and colorful statements to depict action, rather than just straight out writing – “We walked in the park,” try, “We breezed in the sun soaked park.” It can be a bit corny to the ears or on paper, but it can convey more information because it is much more dynamic than just outright retelling.

4. Try and rehearse your speech with someone. You can also record and playback your speech if you don’t have anyone. You can also try to deliver your speech in front of the mirror so you can see yourself deliver the speech and see your mistakes for yourself. Be honest about mistakes so you can correct them easily later on.

I followed the guide above and I wrote my first draft easily. I made a simple groom’s wedding speech that I can be proud of. During my wedding, I was the life of the party because my toasts were funny and inspirational. At last, I was about to deliver my groom’s wedding speech. Everyone was very attentive and after I finished, I got a lot of applause from friends and family. I was so proud of myself. I was happy because I see my wife very proud of me as well.

You too can come up with a great groom’s wedding speech. Just follow the tips above and write a draft as soon as you can. If you want more information about tips and speech writing guides, go to http://www.weddingspeechesforall.com/guide-for-grooms-speeches-groom-toast

Bride’s Wedding Speech Top Guide – 4 Tips For a Bride’s Wedding Speech

Bride’s Wedding Speech Top Guide – 4 Tips For a Bride’s Wedding Speech

My brides wedding speech was successful because of the tips and guides I learned from the internet. I was afraid that I won’t be able to make a speech because I have not written anything since college, but I did it thanks to the tips that I will share here.

Before I got hold of the tips, I was feeling very afraid of delivering a sub-par brides wedding speech. I don’t want to embarrass myself in my own wedding, I want to impress and give a good showing of myself.

The tips that I will give you here will assume that you can write high school level essays. This will ensure that your speech will at least be conversational and casual in tone and voice.

The first thing to remember is to write out multiple drafts of your speech. You can either use pen and paper or better yet a good word processor to help you write out your draft. If you have a computer and you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars buying a word processor, Google Docs is free and quite effective for the task at hand.

Second, when writing down your speech or toast, think about the main theme that you want to impart to the listeners. Do you want your speech to be funny? Do you want your speech to be inspirational. Just think about one theme and stick with it through the end. Don’t stray from the main theme to make your speech cohesive and succinct.

Third, make the tone of your speech conversational and causal. Use short sentences and don’t be afraid to bend the English grammar a bit. The truth is people don’t talk the way they write, but you can write the way you talk.

Fourth, use simple words. Don’t use 100 dollar words from the dictionary that no one will understand. Your audience are of different backgrounds and you want to cater to all of them. So use metaphors and strong imagery in your speech rather than dictionary words.

These are great tips I picked up that helped me write a good brides wedding speech on my wedding. I was so proud of myself because I made something that had a profound effect on my husband and the people listening. I made a great speech that made the wedding complete.

Just follow the speech writing tips so you will have a great brides wedding speech as well. If you want to get more tips and tricks about speech writing and delivery, visit http://www.weddingspeechesforall.com/brides-speech-toasts/

Tips for an Amazing Maid of Honor Wedding Speech

Tips for an Amazing Maid of Honor Wedding Speech

You’ve been chosen as maid of honor for your close friend’s wedding and even though the event is still weeks away, you’re already fretting about what you’re going to say in your maid of honor wedding speech.

The maid of honor wedding speech is one of the most important duties of the maid of honor. The words spoken to the bride and groom and their wedding guests should convey the importance of the day and connect the guests with the couple on a more meaningful level.

Even though the maid of honor wedding speech seems a bit overwhelming, with a bit of early preparation and creativity, your speech can easily become one of the highlights of the bride and groom’s special day. Having the crowd hang on to your every word is as easy as following a few simple tips.

1) Don’t forget the basics! It’s easy to forget the basic information when you start your speech but do remember to introduce yourself and tell how long you have known the couple as well as your connection to the bride. Many of the wedding guests may not know you so this information is important.

2) Remember to thank the bride and groom for allowing you to be a part of their special day.The bride and groom could have chosen anyone but instead they chose you to play such a pivotal role in their day. By acknowledging this in your speech, it shows the couple and the wedding guests that you appreciate them placing you in such a special role. It also shows that you are honored by their trust in you that they could depend on you to carry out the necessary duties in being maid of honor.

3) Use your history with the bride as a foundation for your speech.Whether you’ve known the bride since childhood or only for a few months, sharing a special memory between the two of you shows the significance of your bond. It also highlights the positive aspects of the bride’s personality that may have been a factor in drawing the bride and groom together. Remember, however, not to embarrass the bride with overly personal stories.

4) Infuse a bit of humor. While adding a joke or one liner to the speech can break the ice and loosen up the crowd a bit, use caution when making a joke. The last thing you want to do is offend the bride and groom or any of the wedding guests. Keep the joke simple. For example, “I’m told that the best speech givers follow three simple rules. Stand up. Speak up and then very quickly, Shut Up. I’ll try to stick to that advice.” By keeping the joke clean and simple, you avoid the risk of losing your audience.

5) Don’t be afraid to use a quote. There are thousands of wedding appropriate quotes out there. The most important thing to remember is to choose a quote that is appropriate for the couple. If you want to play it safe, a sentimental quote that speaks about everlasting love is always a good choice.

6) Get CreativeIf you don’t want to go the typical route, consider doing something a bit different to honor the couple. Maybe a song or dance or even a slideshow could add a new dimension to the usual maid of honor wedding speech. If you opt to add a creative touch, remember to choose something that is in line with the couple’s taste. A poem is also a nice creative touch to a maid of honor wedding speech.

7) End on a positive noteWind your speech up with positive words for the couple. Wish them a long and happy life together and remember to offer your support.

Preparing your speech well in advance of the day and practicing it over and over again can you help avoid a case of the stammers and jitters. Don’t be afraid to take a few note cards to help you stay on track in the event you lose your place. Above all, have fun and remember that you are honoring the couple on their special day. After all, your speech is a very important extension of their wedding ceremony.
